Proud owner of The Shih Shed, Stephen has been professionally grooming since 2014. Specializes in rehabilitating small-medium sized dogs who struggle with fear and aggression during grooming.

In addition to his grooming expertise, Stephen is a nationally certified ASL interpreter. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Health Care Interpretation at RIT/NTID. Stephen became trilingual by learning Spanish during the COVID-19 pandemic and works full-time as a Trilingual PrEP Navigator for AVOL Kentucky, Inc., further showcasing his dedication to community health and wellness.

Groomer at The Shih Shed, trained to groom personally by owner Stephen Delaney. He holds a Pet Grooming Certificate from Penn Foster and brings extensive management experience to his role, ensuring smooth operations and outstanding client care. Michael specializes in grooming large dogs, providing tailored care and comfort for bigger breeds.

With fifteen years of experience in veterinary medicine, Michael is highly knowledgeable in animal health and wellness. His combined expertise in grooming and veterinary care enables him to deliver exceptional, compassionate services to all pets entrusted to his care.

Lesli is a highly skilled groomer with years of experience and a strong track record of working with a wide variety of breeds and temperaments. She originally joined The Shih Shed team several years ago and quickly became known for her ability to get even the most challenging dogs looking their best. After some time away, we’re excited to have her back. Lesli brings a confident, no-nonsense approach to grooming that pets respond to — and results that speak for themselves.

Erica has been grooming dogs professionally since 2017 and brings enthusiasm and passion to The Shih Shed team. She has a particular love for Schnauzers and enjoys providing them with special care and grooming attention.

In addition to her grooming experience, Erica is certified in pet CPR, ensuring she can expertly handle emergencies and promote pet safety. Her lifelong experience with a diverse range of animals—from domestic pets to more exotic companions—highlights her genuine love and dedication to animal care.

Chelsea has been by Stephen’s side since the very beginning of his grooming journey and remains a cherished part of The Shih Shed team. A dedicated mother to five young boys, she balances her love for family with her passion for grooming.

Specializing in Yorkies, Chelsea brings patience and skill to every dog she grooms. She primarily works on Sundays, occasionally on Saturdays, ensuring her clients always receive expert care. Her years of experience and unwavering support make her an irreplaceable part of The Shih Shed family.

Kaitlynn joined The Shih Shed at the Cynthiana location before quickly becoming an invaluable asset to the  Richmond grooming team. 

With certifications from both Paragon and Penn Foster, Kaitlynn is committed to professional growth and excellence. Under the mentorship of Stephen, she continues to develop her grooming skills and expertise. Kaitlynn has a special fondness for Huskies, Pomskies, and similar breeds,—and she's always ready to get to the bottom of those hairy situations!

Ashley has been part of The Shih Shed family since July 2022, bringing her experience from kennels and veterinary assisting into the grooming world. As a Pet Spa Technician, she combines her knowledge of pet care with a calming touch to make every visit a positive one.

Certified in Pet CPR and Safety, Ashley is always prepared to keep pets comfortable and secure. Whether she's handling a nervous pup or pampering a regular, she’s committed to making sure every pet leaves feeling refreshed and looking their best.
